Under the COSHH Regulations 2002, it is the duty of employers to prevent or control exposure to hazardous substances. This document provides COSHH information for Low-E Reflective Insulation products.

  • Low-E Slabshield Insulation – Under Floor Insulation
  • Low-E Micro-E Insulation – Multi-purpose thin Reflective Insulation

Composition

Low-E® Reflective Insulation products are made up of a closed-cell polyethylene foam core encapsulated in reflective aluminium facings. The foam core is made from recycled materials.

Storage

Low-E® Reflective Insulation products should be stored on a pallet in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Fire Risk

Although Low-E Reflective Insulation products have an excellent Class 1 Fire Rating, they are combustible. Keep away from open flames and heat sources.

Transport Information

Lightweight, non-hazardous material. No special transport requirements.

Ecological Production Information

  • Do any of the materials contain any Blowing agents with Ozone Depletion Potential? — No
  • Do any of the materials contain any DEHPs, DBDEs, HBCDs, CFCs, Ureas? — No
  • Do any of the materials contain conflict minerals regulated by section 1502 of the Dodd Frank Act? — No

Regulatory Information

Low-E® Reflective Insulation products are NOT classified as dangerous under current regulations.
