A flat roof is usually designed with ventilated air spaces below the timber deck. These ventilated air spaces are necessary for the structure, but often create draughts within the building. Installing Low-E Insulation below the roof can reduce the amount of insulation required between the joists, where space may be limited, and can stops draughts coming into the building itself.
“We use both the vapour and the breathable versions of Low-E Insulation. We’ve tried using other foil insulation products, but they can be time-consuming and difficult to install. Low-E is so easy to work with, we just wouldn’t use anything else.”
